Soccer actor #7’s Portugal homeland continues to experience disruptions in its stock market as it came close to making new 52 week lows today. The bank at the heart of the country’s troubles has seen its bonds drop to ten cents on the dollar.
They did play the Champions League final in Lisbon this year which was won by soccer actor#7’s Real Madrid squad.
Netherland’s #11 joined Bayern in a 25 million euro transfer fee deal in 2009 compared to the 20 year old #19’s 37 million euro fee.
They did perform another 911 ritual with #11 in the Netherlans-Brazil 3rd place game Saturday. #11 was fouled in the penalty box and #9 (Daniel Day Lewis clone) came into to kick in the penalty kick.
To clarify things #19, was acquired by Bayern for $60 million in April 2013 just before the Champions League final and officially transferred to Bayern July 1 of that year so he did not play on Bayern’s Champions League squad. He received 10% of the transfer fee or 3.7 million euros. So quite a move to leave your hometown team for a fierce league rival just before your team is set to face them in the final.
#19 does look like a soccer playing Justin Bieber out there and the operators have even provided him a model girlfriend just to quell any rumors.
Some interesting facts for Germany’s new 22 year old hero #19. When asked if he wanted to be Germany’s Messi, he replied that he’d rather be Germany’s Christian Ronaldo. Like Messi, he was discovered at the age of 8 and put into Dortmund’s youth academy where he was “trained” for future soccer stardom. German soccer power Bayern Munich stole him from Dortmund a few years ago paying the highest transfer fee in German soccer history to acquire his rights yet he has since struggled at times to remain in Bayern’s starting lineup. And let’s not forget that the best player in the World (judging by his play in the WC as he was constantly foulded by opponents despite all of his haters’ diving claims),Netherland’s #11, plays for Bayern having transferred from Real Madrid. So like Ronaldo he gets to play with the best players in the world. Bayern won the Champions League trophy last year (2013) in an all German final (Dortmund the opponent–May 25) so #19 got to bask in the glory of the championship just as Ronaldo did this year surrounded by all of his world class players.
As expected, Germany defeated Argentina 1-0 in a somewhat lackluster game, but one that featured more pace than Germany’s 1-0 snoozefest win over France earlier in the knockout stage. The Germans decided to play (hard) once extra time kicked in since I guess the TV networks wanted to maximimze their advertising revenues for the game. No need to go on about the regulation play although Argentina bizarrely did have some scoring chances that they squandered.
Germany won it with femboy #19’s goal in the 113th minute. He received a nice pass on the run, deadened the ball and delivered a nice lefthanded kick but the Argeninan goalie did dive to the right giving a clear path for #19’s kick into the goal. #19 did come in a substitution in the 88th minute for Germany’s alltime leading World Cup scorer #11 for a 11-19 substitution or 39. This time Germany did not do a 9-11 substitution since #9 came in for the injured #23 in the 31st minute, #23 making his first start for Germany in the World Cup..9-23 substitution for 95.
#19 didn’t even play in the match against Brazil and he was replaced by #9 against Algeria after missing a point black shot. #9 would later go on to deliver the gamewinning goal.
It looks like the operartors were having fun with the site. Nasdaq 100 made a new high yesterday unconfirmed by everything else except the Dow with a lower RSI (70) level and now the Nasdaq is down decently despite the Yellen testimony. The market needs to survive one more day of testimony but it will also be fighting negative earnings reports. I haven’t checked yet but bad earnings reports might be the reason for stagnation today. Some stocks like LL, FAST have been hit hard lately based on their reports.
I’m still expecting a top this Wednesday the 16th… nothing major but after it hits I could see a drop to 1900-1920 over the next couple of weeks or less. Then back up into August to make another higher high to complete the Primary Wave 3 up that started in 2011.
At that point I’d look for P4 down to start around late August or early September, which should be 200-400 SPX points down. After that we’ll start Primary Wave 5 up into 2017 for some insane blow off top level yet to be known.
I think we will have one further day higher on Thursday – just to frustrate everyone. Then down on Friday and lower next week
