Well, it’s a very boring day and I always have this site open on one or more screens from my computers (and I guess Geccko did too?) so that’s probably why we both answered at the same time.
That is interesting to minds like yours and mine, but how do we explain the cosmic weirdness of that? The creator having a sense of humour, a glitch in the software, or something like the adjustment bureau from outside influences? What is your take?
You and Geccko23 responded almost at the same time, if I was UBER cynical instead of being an Oxbridge graduate, I might draw some replicant like conclusions. But ………
Just kidding you guys on a flat, no excitement day.
It’s a photo of Kirk Gibson not Kurt Warner. And it’s still up there if you click on to the MLB section. Gibson is famous for hitting the game winning homerun in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series propelling the LA Dodgers to a 5-4 win.
I didn’t think that the quality of that video was anything special. They just copied some picture of earth and used some software to make it expand out.
The text on the screen and animation isn’t something that expensive to do. I could do it myself with little to no money, but I’m lazy and don’t want to spend the time to create something fancy.
I used too work as an engineer at a TV station in the 80’s and it would have required ten’s of thousands of dollars back then, as special effects equipment was very expensive. But today it’s all simple software that anyone can buy and use from any average computer without the need for special equipment.
I’ve thought about doing a fancy video, but I don’t have the time to learn how to use the software… and no that my youtube account is limited to 15 minutes only I just don’t want to waste my time. Too much work for me… but not much cost money wise.
Only thing about these type of videos, that scares me a bit, or a lot, is the amazing video quality of them. Now I don’t know a whole lot about creating videos, but the ones with these type of messages, look like they have BIG MONEY behind them. Am I being ultracynical like GK23? I guess so, but………..

You seem pretty positive to me, don’t see you falling of any horse.

He is now manager of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Yes, it was interesting… Kinda portrayed us sheep (and the wolves) as simple little babies.
Great video Washboard, your timing was impecable. I needed the reminder after falling off the horse sort of speak.
